@Bosa: Good to read from you. Potty training has been ditched for now because he wants to use the potty himself when he wishes but will resume fully in January.

Travel plan is becoming a reality by the day and I really do not know why I am kind of scared.

  • Wishing you all the very best of luck, Geraldine ( @geraldine ) :hugs:

Whenever you can, if you could drop some tips and advice in the Adoption Group for those starting the process, that would be much appreciated.

We pray for you a beautiful and perfect addition to your home :cloud9:  :rose:

  • Hello! I don’t think Christmas is feasible as I haven’t even started visiting homes yet to make a selection and I am sure there will be paperwork after the selection but I’ll keep you guys updated just in case anyone wants to tow that line.

  • Geraldine ( @geraldine ) hun, whatever questions you have about hospitals, we’ll be too happy to help. It can be frustrating and the stories you hear on the daily don’t help build confidence either. But still consider South Shore though. I still think it’s the best option for now. For some reason, I have never really been keen on India. I have…[Read more]

  • Hello! Yes I am adopting from Lagos State. Started the process last year. I just got approval. The process is frustrating.

I’m really worried about medicare in Nigeria, that’s why the India thing came up. I have checked out some hospitals already but I am yet to fully decide. I will still consider South Shore

  • @geraldine Huge congratulations on the Adoption progress. I am quite curious as i was on this journey but giving in to surrogacy for now. It seemed like a long endless journey well in Lagos!! Are you adopting from Lagos state?

Such a horrible experience with Nordica, sorry about this…… I think i have heard better reports from…[Read more]

@pearl i trust you are much better, i replied this in my mind oh, surprised to see i didnt… 🙂

How’s the potty training going, your approach should make it easier on both of you. Only at his pace and he will get there. As i was told, your baby won’t wear diapers forever.

How’s the travel plans coming along? Got the tickets? Hit us up with all…[Read more]

  • Thank you for the reassurance that I didn’t do anything wrong and that South shore is a preferable option. They are actually slightly cheaper than Nordica and they have excellent customer service even though they didn’t reach out to me afterwards. Sometimes all a customer needs is that extra nudge

@bibi: All is getting better. An eye test is a standard test here for all kids and they do take it serious from age three and four if a kid should fail the test.

@Nicole and @Bosa: Thanks for reaching out. Its been a rough one since baby turned a year and hoping the stress and thoughts eases out as he ages.

As for potty training, I have decided…[Read more]

  • Hello Ladies! So I’m back. I decided to take a break from the whole fertility thing and live. Meanwhile, I started an adoption process and currently close to the last stage. I revisited the issue of having the fibroids and scar tissue removed, I went to Southshore and after a few tests they concluded I go for a laparoscopic myomectomy. I decided…[Read more]

@pearl hun, so sorry to read you’ve been struggling. Nothing mild about depression. If you need to talk, I’m only a phone call away. Sending you big hugs hun

Just getting better after a mild depression.

Prince is doing fine and looking forward to enrolling him in a pre-school after going for an eye test when he is two. We are also struggling in potty training. Boys love to play with pee and everything; they hardly take things serious. :growlmad:

  • Thank you @Bosa and @Nicole  I’m not going to think about it as it wouldn’t change much anyway.  But I’m all for staying positive.  I will see my DH in December God willing.
