@bibi: All is getting better. An eye test is a standard test here for all kids and they do take it serious from age three and four if a kid should fail the test.

@Nicole and @Bosa: Thanks for reaching out. Its been a rough one since baby turned a year and hoping the stress and thoughts eases out as he ages.

As for potty training, I have decided…[Read more]

@pearl hun, so sorry to read you’ve been struggling. Nothing mild about depression. If you need to talk, I’m only a phone call away. Sending you big hugs hun

Aww bless. Pre school already. That’s such a sign of independence. It should also give you more time for yourself. As for potty training, oh boy! I’m not looking forward to going…[Read more]

Teema ( @teema ) , so sorry for the late response. Still working on my time management :dohh: :dohh:

For fresh circumcision, it shouldn’t be that expensive. Georges Memorial told me it would cost 30k (outside of registration and consultation fees of course). BUT it was because mine was a second procedure and thus termed ‘surgery’ that they were…[Read more]

Just getting better after a mild depression.

Prince is doing fine and looking forward to enrolling him in a pre-school after going for an eye test when he is two. We are also struggling in potty training. Boys love to play with pee and everything; they hardly take things serious. :growlmad:

I listened to all the advise on this forum and did mine when i got back to Nigeria at 2 months. One of my best decisions cos it looks perfect now and didn’t have to fo through the trouble of doing it twice.

Folly ( @folly ), that’s exactly what happened with my son. It was fine at first and then the skin grew, making the penis retract. I was also advised to be pulling the foreskin back and heaping tons of Vaseline on the tip, but for where! I think most of the doctors over there don’t cut it well enough to prevent the foreskin from growing as the…[Read more]

<p style=”text-align: right;”>I did my son’s in America, it looked okay initially but now it’s looking one kain. It retracts and covers kinda I don’t know how to explain. We kept watching it cos the doctor in America said we should be pulling back the foreskin.</p>
Now hes 3months old and we are really considering re doing it, removing a littl…[Read more]

    Teema ( @teema ) hun, I understand your dilemma.

My son was re-circumcised at 6 weeks. Yes, it was painful, but he recovered in a matter of days. Truthfully, it might be better to wait till you’re back here as it’s touch and go over there. You might be lucky or you might not be. Mumy Ruth ( @mumy-ruth ) also waited to get home to circumcise her…[Read more]

Bos ( @bosa ) hun, so sorry for the late response. One of those weeks

I totally see what you mean about the extra expense, especially considering what happened last time. Truth is, you could proceed with a purely surrogate cycle instead of pushing your body and finances for the double cycle. I think it’s a good idea. So excited for you…[Read more]

  • Hello all. Please I need your experienced advice. My baby’s circumcision appointment is Thursday but I remember reading here about people having to do it again in Nigeria. He will be 6 weeks plus when we get back can I get it done then? He was low weight when born and they advised we wait a while so he hasn’t had anything done yet. Thank you

@nicole very strange to hear such, but yea since they are at peace with Dr. Sharon, why not? I wish them goodluck…..so the appointment went well okay ish, i felt “one kain” as this is my 3rd hospital oh  I am sick and tired of these their assessments and almost considered going back to Georges. However, they seem to have a solid surrogacy…[Read more]

  • Hi @nicole thanks for checking up! We are ok. Just got back from a much needed family vacation and just took babygirl back to school for the start of the term. The break put things into perspective. We won’t start the immunology tests till about October. Still want to have a few natural cycles after the last failed IVF before doing any tests or…[Read more]
