Wao…big congrats @Esha. You will carry to term. Wishing you an uneventful 40weeks. Pls can you kindly tell me why you couldn’t transfer in the previous 2? I recently had a procedure and I couldn’t transfer. Did you use same hospital for the 3 procedures? Thanks and congrats once again

Ask The Ark Klinic 3 years, 10 months agoGood day doctors @ark. I did an IVF with a hospital earlier this year, the procedure was halted on day 5 cos the embryos stopped growing after day 3. The said it was cos o tested positive to HbAg. They advised I used a donor instead. Please I want to find out if HbAg can have such effect on embryos. I want to try again, should I try with my eggs?…[Read more]

None yet. But they encouraged me to try again, maybe with a donor egg. Maybe when we might have gathered cash we may consider that

Thanks Nicole for your concerns. I dont know the value for the AMH but the test results wrote ‘fair ovarian reserve’. For the FSH the value is 6.69. My DH motility was quite low but after the ‘preparation’ it shoot up to 65% which was fantastic according to the Dr. The Dr said the issues are either chromosomal abnormalities or issues with the…[Read more]

IVF Buddies 3 years, 11 months agoAm really depressed. My day 4 embryo didnt get to marula. We are asked to come back today being day 5 to know if they were improvements but alas it seemed like it got worst. The conclusion- entire cycle cancelled, all savings gone! @esty, I am so so sorry to read this. But it’s true…your clinic needs to be commended for their honesty. A lot of clinics would have proceeded with the transfer regardless. As for what happened, I can only guess it’s the same thing that happened with my 1st cycle. A lot of clinics don’t have the facilities to take embryos to blastocyst stage.…[Read more]

The egg collection was don’t on Monday. Transfer is scheduled tomorrow. Am so depressed. The dr said the embies are not doing so well at the morula stage. Am hoping a miracle happens before tomorrow

@esty hun, let’s keep our fingers crossed for a miracle hun. The same thing happened with my first cycle. The embies that were doing so well suddenly dropped in quality at morula stage. But it is well. Let’s hope for the best hun. How many are you transferring?

I can’t remember him mentioning the ovarian reserve being low. I responded well to the stim drugs. 17 follicles were sighted on 8 of the stimming. Am keeping my fingers crossed and praying this brings my twins

IVF Buddies 4 years agoGoodmorning buddies. AF came much earlier than expected. I visited my clinic yesterday. I was started on Bruserelin short protocol. Any advantage of the short/long protocol? I learnt the short protocol is for older ladies, am 29yrs.

@esty love, so so sorry I missed this! Just seeing it now. What were your AMH and FSH levels? If your ovarian reserve is low, that might be why they suggested the short protocol. It is for women they think might be poor responders. It’s mainly older women, but some younger women also have low ovarian reserve. Did your doctor give you a reason why?

Hi Esty @esty, no problem with your question. When and how long you will down regulate is dependent on the results of your preliminary assessment, your risk of OHSS and your doctor’s assessment of these factors. Meanwhile, your cycle might be timed to your natural cycle or not, which is what your current schedule shows to be likely.

We paid 80k for the registration and are to pay 900k for the treament and procedure. I learnt they will be having a promo in March (780k).

When we visited Trucare, their fee was within our budget. Av undergone the preliminary tests with them, getting ready to starting treatments next week. Any particular…[Read more]

On first impressions, neither @oluwakemine and I got a positive feeling from the place. I also am yet to hear of any success story from there. But that said, it’s not enough to write them off completely. If you’re comfortable with them, we can only hope for the best as we cheer you along
