My initial EDD was 22nd December so hubby and I decided give or take she’ll arrive Christmas week. We also agreed that we weren’t going to go over the 41 week mark either way . Oh wow, I’m so in awe of you @dew! Talk about the Hebrew woman! What a beautiful birth story!! God was really with you hun! I hope Daddy got there fairly shortly after :heart:. My hubby also didn’t make it on time for ours, but thank God my Mom was there to keep me company. Congrats again hun

Pregnancy Group 5 years ago@nicole I’ll like to think she’s getting enough milk now . Maybe my expectation of milk flow is different from reality(tap flow VS spritz) lol. I saw the lactation specialist and she suggested I try to wean her off formula gradually which I’ve done. She’s not had formula in 2 days so I guess it’s working. Tho she seems to want to feed all the time…[Read more]

Oh I’m so glad to hear that, @dew :hugs:. Sometimes, these things just take a little getting used to. The fact that she hasn’t had formula in a couple of days shows that she’s getting enough to sustain her. So happy it all worked out in the end

Trying to see if I can get an appointment with a lactation specialist later in the week. My mum and aunts all seem to say I’m not eating enough. Though eating hasn’t really been my thing even through the pregnancy. So I’ve decided to force myself to eat if that would increase it. I also try to pump so at least something comes out. Meanwhile, let baby continue with her formula, while you continue taking pap, as many times as possible in a day and perhaps massaging your boobs to get the milk pathways open. @dew hun, it happens to more women than you think. My friend who had her baby around the same time I had the twins didn’t lactate early. Her doctor advised her to remain very very hydrated, and he also gave her some meds. Your Mom and Aunts are right…you have to try to eat well. . Adewunmi, @dew, baby is almost here and yes, its normal to get that feeling that the baby’s head is right between your legs. Its is just the pressure of a living being inside of you and that’s a sign that baby’s engaged the cervix too. This body sha!

@adaoraa it’s still like a miracle oo. I’m scared and at the same time excited I’ll get to hold my baby soon. Also thinking what the experience would be like and all. But I’m trusting God sha. @dew, yes oh, I felt like that towards the end. I guess it’s the pressure of a full grown baby on your vajayjay. It’s normal…as well as the false contractions. I’ll take up the picture uploading issue right away. Apologies dear.
