  • Hello everyone. So sorry I’ve been MIA . I guess it all took its toll on me (motherhood and entrepreneurship) but thank God we made it to toddler stage. Hope everyone is doin great? Happy new year, may we all have a blessed year.  @nicole I guess you should take her back since you know her faults and all. Just have a word with her and let her know…[Read more]

@kaay welcome on board, putting baby belly down helps. As you’re breastfeeding I’ll advise to keep baby close if that offers relief. Hopefully it would pass soon. Another thing my friends swore worked was using the oil of ‘ogiri’ it’s quite stinky but if you look beyond that it works.

Hmmnn @adaoraa I so emphasized to both grandma’s not to carry baby F all the time oo, knowing if they left I would be on my own. The swing like @nicole, @oluwakemine and @ldike suggested is your best bet. You can also try backing . That also helps.

    • @dew I did try to do no carry no carry but no one was having it. That he is a new born and still getting used to the world. That after 6 weeks I can do that. So yea that’s why we are here!! He is getting better though since I wrote the post. Cries for a shorter period when I put him down. Kisses to baby girl.

@oluwakemine I guess I’m really just jealous tho. Especially considering my crazy schedule. I try to make sure I spend some time with her in the mornings (though I have to fight daddy for that. He considers that ‘their’ time since she’s asleep before he gets home) and also at night when we get back home. But during the day I’m just so jealous.…[Read more]

Hi yummy mummies, congrats @ldike,@babe on the arrival of your bundle of joy. May God bless them and watch over them. @nicole @oluwakemine thanks for always checking in,God bless you. Work is still hectic ooo. It’s not been easy getting additional hands. Seems no one wants to work anymore … So I have a question, should I be worried? My hubby…[Read more]

    • Honestly, if my nanny says those words to my baby, I would be thrilled. She has come to see my child as hers, hence my confidence in the nanny’s ability to care of my baby is increased.
But I get where you are coming from, you might be feeling, she is getting too close to your baby, even more than you are, as they spend so much time together. In…[Read more]

    • @dew thanks so much as for your nanny I get where you are coming from. I think you should properly establish boundaries, but don’t think you can tell her not to say I love you to your child. Just let her know what her boundaries are as your nanny

    • @dew, I feel you hun. In those early days, I used to be so jealous when my nannies displayed too much affection. Just explain boundaries to your Nanny, so that she knows how to limit any display, but trust me when I say it’s better for your nanny to be affectionate than the opposite.

  • Wow! What an amazing birth story @adaora . We women are the real MVP’s . Motherhood is really the best. The smile and all is totally worth it. On the sleeplessness, don’t worry the Lord is your strength. My advice, delegate as much as you can. Easier said than done but it’s the best decision… Enjoy the joy…kisses to baby A… Such a cutie…

So I decided to buy Nigerian to ‘grow the naira’ and purchased a made in Nigeria pampers and I’m sorry to say Tiwa and pampers don do us wayo.. Like seriously . I don’t understand why we do this to ourselves in this country. Is it that we have a really low standard in this country ???? I also have another experience with feeding bottle. I…[Read more]

    • @dew, I never even tried myself with Naija pampers. I can grow the Naira in any way oh, but not with my kids, I’m sorry! I was just looking at Tiwa and her fine face, in that Pampers ad, and I couldn’t help but ‘yimu’ her. Na so! And the annoying part is that the price difference isn’t really that much…at least not enough to justify the low…[Read more]

    • See me just talking my own! What do you ladies think, @annie, @oluwakemine, @mrs-al, @ldike?

      • It’s really such a shame. After the whole Tiwa ad thing went on, my sister bought pampers for my niece, it gave her this raw reddish spots, so it was back to Huggies. Pampers was my go-to diapers back then. It’s such a shame.

Bottles? Those ones are another matter altogether.

        • @Nicole you are too funny , lol @yimu at TIwas fine face. @dew I already ordered 1yr supply diapers o as I am not ready to have headache with 9ja pampers. My mind is already working to see how I will get around ordering and receiving any other supply, Clothes diapers etc. as time goes on. We are our own worst enemies in 9ja, sadly. I really hope…[Read more]

@nicole extra hands would make a lot of difference . I won’t need to leave home early and also would have time to spend with her when at work.. @nicole I’m actually self employed. But right now it sure doesn’t feel like it. Too much to do and less hands to do it. I’m just hoping something breaks for me soon. Like hubby has been saying to me ‘it gets darker before the dawn’ so I’m praying all this would lead to an increase in business .. Thank God at least baby F sleeps through the night…[Read more]

    • @dew, her sleeping through the night is such a BLESSING! It took me almost 2 years to get there  . I’m sure everything will fall into place well, hun. Will hiring an extra hand make a difference?

@nicole @oluwakemine it’s been easy to say the least . It’s like all the work waited for me to return. I feel so guilty leaving baby F even though she goes to work with me. I don’t spend enough time with her. I fear she might even get to recognize her nanny before me :nope: :nope: . Oh well!!!

    • @dew, I know hun! I felt the same way. Because I started my leave so early, I was back at work when they were only 10 weeks old. It wasn’t funny, but a Mom will always be a Mom, don’t worry about it. Is the creche in your office? You’re so lucky, if that’s the case. But even if its not, just make the most of the time when you’re back at…[Read more]

Electric pump is the best in that you avoid the motions each time. I think once your milk is in,you can switch. That’s what I’m doing now cos the electric one I got has packed up. Please just buy medela seems that’s the best. I was busy doing ‘ijebu’ but I’ve had to spend more now.. ‘Sigh’ @linda

    • @dew, so glad to hear you and the Princess are doing well . So sorry about the colic hun. Have you checked the size of the nipple on her feeding bottle? My girls had colic and I realised they were using one that was letting in a bit more air than was ideal. Don’t worry, it gets easier :hugs: :hugs:

      • Indeed, it gets better with time, she will outgrow it. Say hello to our baby o, we love her no be small.   @dew
