LIFE AS I KNOW IT.

I have a mission and a purpose for been here and on some social media platforms.
Having lived with Poly Follicular aka PCOS all my life; I knew very well that some day all soorts of people will come up or spring up making various claims about curing this and curing that all in the name of marketing a product or the other or trying to pushing a particular agenda which might be detrimental to my life and those insame shoes as myself.
Please, I have been saying this and will never ever stop;
- DO NOT SELF MEDICATE WITHOUT A DOCTORS/SPECIALIST PRESCRIPTION/ADVISE OR NOT DOING YOUR PERSONAL RESEARCH.
- DO NOT IN ANYWAY JUST SWALLOW OR INJECT PILLS WHICH YOU AREN’T AWARE OF ITS COMPOSITION.
- ALWAYS ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU SEEM CONFUSED OR NOT CLEAR ON A PARTICULAR SUBJECT.
- GUIDE AND GUARD YOUR HEART WHEN READING UP ON THINGS.
NOTE: Your precious body isn’t a dumping ground for some selfish or insensitive people nor is it a product hence embrace yourself and accept yourself while making possible changes to be better you.
If you don’t love, embrace, accept and care for yourself, who do you think will.

@emaimo: Amen. Wishing you same.
@nicole: Amen. Yes, lots of ”Miracle” products are springing up and its really getting on my nerves. People must exercise caution and restraint.
@oluwakemine: Our clime…you are right…they also have similar challenges in some countries if not worst than that of Nigeria/Africa.
Example: In America in can buy what ever you like on the internet, so far you know the name of what you want.
The situation in Nigeria is similar to that of Vietnam, India, china/Asia.
The only difference is because most people don’t get to hear about their challenges on media or online. And I think maybe also because of language barrier.April 8, 2016 at 8:52 am #14660
…TGIF… Its time to Party…
Weekend is fast approaching and I know many on this forum are watching thier weight either consciously, unconsciously, often or seldomly.
Some are getting somewhat the result they desired while some aren’t. My question is WHY is that happening. Why is it seeming difficult? What are we doing wrong?
In as much as we think we are trying our best and eating healthy enough, could it be possible that our healthy choices or eating is the cause for not geting our desired result.
I will like to call our attention to something crucial:
Even when we claim to be making healthy choices: The truth is, we are making lots of unconscious/conscious healthy choices that is affecting our health/weight negatively. even when we seem to belief that those are the best healthy choices.
Like I tell my friends and those who know me…”EAT WHATEVER YOU LIKE BUT DOUBLE CONTROL THE SIZE AND POTION YOU WANT TO EAT PUTING THE NUMBERS OF CALORIES IT CONTAINS INTO CONSIDERATION”.
I will give an example for better understanding:
Lets take a look at Banana.
Many people love banana, either just eating it up, adding it to smoothies, caramelising for dessert, garnishing for rice, fruit salads, desserts, e.t.c
Banana is good. I love banana as well but did you know that the average kilocalorie(kcal) in the average sized banana is 86kcal and upwards.
Note: I am not putting spieces into consideration, because most of the bananaes we eat in Nigeria are Green, Yellow and Red.
Now lets do a quick Mathematics…
Imagine you buy a bunch of banana with 10fingers…and you had 4fingers as snack or to help digest previous food intake…That means you just added 344kcal into your body for the day, which is approximately 17% of the average recommended kilocalorie for a woman which is 2000kcal.
Note that the Banana you had isn’t the main food for the day, you still have Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or Brunch whereby food is eating and more calories are added for the day…which implies you have to distribute 1656kcal between Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Brunch (2000kcal – 344kcal = 1656kcal)…hummm and you just had Banana as ”snack” or to ”aid digestion” that is worth 344kcal.
Now my point is; In as much as Fruits and Vegetables are good, we should also not forget that they can be bad for our health if not consumed in moderation.
Wishing everyone all the best in whatever you do.

😥 😥 😥
About embarking on another cycle after a failed cycle 2months ago.
I don’t know if there is a dictionary meaning for been too overpositive, but trust me thats the mood/mode I am in at the moment.
I was with an assistant gynecologist yesterday, although I knew what I wanted and had a plan fore hand before booking for the appointment. However, when I got there it was another story; she was trying to push an agenda which I know will not favour me on the long run.
I had to insist on what I wanted and when I wanted it and how, not forgetting the where it would take place.
She was shocked…I told her ”you don’t have to shocked rather listen to me and confirm from your director if what I am saying is right or out of place”.
**…long story short…**
She called her director and what I told her/discussed was exactly what the director told her/discussed, and after she dropped the phone I told her that I can relate/understand her sentiment and that she isn’t a fertility specialist rather she was an assistant gynecologist.
She then said… ”I am amazed at how much you know more than myself and not so many people are that informed about PCO AND PCOS not to talk of fertility procedures…”
And I smiled… 🙂 and told her I have been you peoples patient for more than 5years… 😥 and nothing has happened.
Although, she gave me some positive thought but In all I was well pleased and fingerscrossed for this cycle and hoping for the best.
Next stage after this pill I am currently on will be a visit to the Fertility Specialist herself.
Sending to myself and everyone expecting.

@pearl sending you loads of
I’m so glad you insisted on your plan, we all are in charge of our treatment we need to research and take charge!!!
As tough as it seems, hold on to his promises… Put your trust in him for he promises they shall not be ashamed who wait for him….Isa 49:23 Hold fast the confession of hope without wavering for you know that he who promised is faithful Heb.10:23. I will be praying with you @pearl – lay it all on his feet……
This may be a post in the prayer group but we may need @oluwakemine @nicole‘s help. I’m thinking we could start a prayer session for all those having a cycle – simple stuff – we just chose a time maybe 12 or 1pm everyday and pray for them so we would need the names…
