For the longest time, a friend of mine had a firm belief that Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, would never be able to stand being in the same room as her estranged husband, Olakunle Churchill. She constantly pointed out how her fellow actress, Lilian Esoro, has managed to maintain a cordial relationship with her own ex husband, Ubi Franklin.
So, you can imagine how I gleefully showed her photos of the controversial actress squatting beside her ex, with their son in the middle, at his school on his birthday. That was so totally unexpected and while I’m tempted to read too much into it, at face value, it is a good attempt at co-parenting. At least their son can have a photo of his parents together at his second birthday party.
Co-parenting is not an easy task, because most divorced folks are not so keen on dealing with their ex, but with children involved, most times, that cannot be avoided.
In this piece, we look at some celebrities who are co-parents, either doing it smoothly or dramatically.
Here we go:
Tonto Dikeh and Olakunle Churchill
After she came out with several allegations against her husband, following the collapse of their marriage, the situation kinda got worse as the months went by. They are now in court, where the father of her son, Olakunle Churchill wants to ensure that his son is not included in the new reality TV show that the actress is shooting.
