Amanda Seyfried of Mean Girls fame may have “mastered” breastfeeding four months after her first child was born, but don’t think feeding her daughter came so easily to the actress.
As Seyfried later explained, she had wanted to throw in the towel just five days after childbirth. “It was a searing pain and I couldn’t get a good latch,” she said.
And then, she went to the other side of the spectrum, she was overproducing milk, and suffered from mastitis. Ouch! She described the experience as mostly “stressed”and “fearful.”
The good news? Now Seyfried knows what works for her daughter, and shared, “She’s getting milk and she’s gaining weight like a champ.”
