Thanks for your responses ladies. Met with a different gynecologist during my last visit as the doc I had been seeing is no longer with the hospital I use. I usually have irregular cycles ranging between 60 – 90 days and had done a hormonal assessment as recommended by the previous doctor; the results indicated low level of progesterone. The new…[Read more]

    • Chevvy @chevvy3 , your new doctor sounds :good: . I’m surprised your long cycles weren’t enough reason for your previous doctor to have at least investigated the possibility, because that it is one of the number one red flags. I’m glad you’re on a great course of treatment hun. With respect to your question, I know a few women who were on the…[Read more]

Hello ladies, I visited my gynecologist last week and he prescribed that I use Metformin and Primolut N. The pharmacist mentioned that I had to take 1 before the other after an interval of 1 hour (he wasn’t sure which one to be taken first). Please I would like to find out if anyone in the group has been on these drugs consecutively and which you…[Read more]

Metformin and Primolut N…**Before your question on which to take first, will need some clarification so as to help you better.**
I understand that Primolut N is to help you regulate your cycle if they are irregular but I am yet to understand why your gynecologist prescribed Metformin, can…[Read more]

      • Hello Chevvy @chevvy3, it’s so nice to hear from you again. Like @pearl asked, did your doctor do any tests before prescribing the metformin? And I guess, your periods are still irregular, hence the primolut N. To your question, the reason for one hour interval may be different, so you should call your doctor to determine, which goes first.
        It’s…[Read more]

    • Welcome back, Chevvy @chevvy3 :friends: . The ladies have asked it all. It’s important to know why your doctor prescribed the meds, especially the Metformin.

@nicole: Thanks for sharing this. Here’s the result ====>>> Your Score: 3 / 20 Your Ranking: Congratulations…..you do not (appear to) have PCOS symptoms. BUT, as most cases of PCOS are often asymptomatic, you might need to be extra observant of any changes in your body.

Thanks for the welcome @nicole. From my previous consultations PCOS had been ruled out though. DH and I decided to try out Fertilaid in the meantime.

Yes, I have done a hormonal assessment, HSG and pelvic scan. The results – insufficient progesterone, HSG showed that 1 fallopian tube was partially blocked while the other is fine, pelvic scan showed everything within to be fine. My periods are usually irregular so my average cycle is 60 days, I’m on CD102 as of today. This delay has been since I…[Read more]

Yes. I saw a doctor and was given a Clomid prescription a couple of months ago which was to be taken on day 2 of my next cycle, but this current cycle has been my longest cycle in a long time. I have been waiting for AF. Recently started taking Fertilaid since I heard that it helps normalize one’s cycle.

    • Hi Chevvy @chevvy3, have you taken a test yet? How late are you now?

    • Welcome @chevvy3 hun. Hmmm, that’s classic PCOS. Have you spoken with your doctor about your prolonged cycle? What’s your typical diet like?
